Scalp Micropigmentation can create the look and give an impression of natural hair where hair has been lost, is patchy or is thinning due to balding, alopecia, surgical scarring or follicle transplant scarring, illness, trauma, aging or hereditary causes.
It is used to give the appearance of hair follicles, such as the shaven or razor look for men or a shaded in look with dot like hair follicles or fine hair strokes for women or men with alopecia.
It can also used to design a new hairline around the forehead, side of the face and back of the head as well as fill in areas where hair loss is present. This may be a small area, larger patches or a full head. A variety of hairlines can be achieved, whether conservative, natural/soft or hard/defined.
Scalp Micropigmentation is different to traditional tattoo ink and needles. The needles are 75% smaller and the pigments used are formulated to last for 8-10 years or longer, so this is a permanent and lasting procedure.
An individual course of treatments will be tailored to meet your specific needs dependent on the degree and size of the area of hair loss.
SMP can work well as a stand-alone hair loss treatment, but it also works very well in combination with hair transplant treatments such as FUT (follicular unit transfer) and FUE (follicular unit extraction) to achieve a very natural look for clients.
SMP can help both men and women suffering from hair loss.
SMP – with FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) – to build the appearance of hair density
SMP – Scalp Micropigmentation
– before and after 3 treatments
